Do you remember your first toy? How about your favorite toy? Depending on when you were born it could range from anything from the Light-Brite, Easy-Bake Oven, Barbie, G.I. Joe, The Pet Rock, anything from the Star Wars, He-Man, Marvel, and DC Universe.

The Strong Museum is the official home to the TOY HALL OF FAME, so you can actually visit and check out all the great toys and games that have made it into the archives of history in person.

But what about YOUR favorite toy? Are you still in possession of that favorite toy or was it lost to time? Whether it was lost, stolen, sold, or discarded you may have an opportunity to reclaim your childhood toy with this great event.

The RETRO TOY SHOW is happening this Saturday, (November 13, 2021) from 10 am until 6 pm at Sole at Woodlawn Beach in Lacawana right off of Route 5. The event is open to collectors, buyers, sellers, and anyone who is looking to reclaim their lost childhood treasures.

Admission is $5.00 with plenty of free parking. The bonus is that you get to visit with vendors from all over the area offering up the toys and games that will time warp you into a simpler time.

I will never forget how devastated I was when I found out that ALL my toys were sold off at a garage sale that my parents held while I was away at a hockey camp in Canada for two weeks.

To this day I feel like they strategically planned this to ensure that I would not interfere with their decision to de-clutter my room, the basement, the attic, and all points in between. Yeah, I had a few toys.

To this day I miss my full-size G.I. Joe with the Kung-Fu grip and my Six Million Dollar Man. Who knows, maybe I will reunite with them on Saturday.
