Would You Eat This Gourmet Chicken Wing?
The home of the wing has plenty of opinions about this chef's version of the dish.
A popular trend on TikTok is for chefs and cooks to take cheap or simple foods and make them "Michelin," meaning the quality of a Michelin-starred restaurant. That's the highest honor you can receive for food quality in the industry, in case you didn't know. Having a Michelin Star makes your restaurant a must-visit attraction.
Buffalo, New York, does not have any Michelin-starred restaurants. That's because the organization doesn't really consider Buffalo in its selection process. Many hope that will change, as the City is well known for being one of the best food spots in the world.
It's also known for the chicken wing, which was created in Buffalo. Not all wings are created equal, as out-of-towners will tell you when visiting the City of Good Neighbors. They hit different in the birthplace of the wing, and the place outside of Buffalo struggles to compete.
However, this Chef has a unique take on the wing.

Danny Kim, who goes by dannygrubs on TikTok, asked a chef to make wings "Michelin" and create an elevated experience. Now, most people in Buffalo aren't about fancy things and like wings just the way they are. This Chef, though, has them scratching their heads. What the chef does is definitely interesting and, maybe, really good. Watch the video as he debones a flat, stuffs the wing, and creates his own hot sauce.

It's definitely different. One of my friends asked after watching this where are the rest of the wings? Michelin, for some reason, always seems to mean small.
