Another Buffalo Sports Team To End The Season Early

There are many great sports programs and athletes that compete at the college level. I played hockey for the Canisius College program and it was an amazing experience. Now it looks like my alma matter is dealing with the COVID-19 virus threat like most as it was announced that another team will be canceling the season. The Golden Griffins woman's basketball team will be another local sports team to call it quits on the season.   WGRZ reports. 

This should come as no big surprise as athletes and fans have been submitted to delays, postponements, and cancelations ever since March of last year.

This cancelation comes on the heels of the Buffalo Sabres having their season delayed because four plays testing positive for the virus.

And even though some restrictions have been lifted, it is important to be mindful of our health and what we do to protect ourselves and those we come in contact with.

I am not sure if the wearing of the masks is helping or if it is just another false sense of security that we as humans need to cope with uncertain circumstances. In any event, I feel that 2021 is starting to morph into 2020 and that will be a huge kick in the mask. All we can do is be aware of our own health and security. Stay safe out there.
