[WATCH] Unique Drill From Buffalo Sabres Practice
A unique drill had both goalies facing away from each other and you have to see it.
The Buffalo Sabres are holding their development camp for young players, draft picks, and tryouts at LECOM Harbor Center in Downtown Buffalo. It's a really intimate and fun thing the team is doing as it's free for fans to come. It's even free to park at Harbor Center. There are concessions and merch available too. See their schedule at Sabres.com. It wraps up on Saturday, July 16 with the French Connection Tournament at 9:15 a.m.
Owen Power, Jack Quinn, Peyton Krebs, Devon Levi, and Erik Portillo are some of the names that are taking part. Levi, a highly rated goaltender, really impressed on Thursday. For more about that CLICK HERE.
One of the drills they ran was very unique. The coaches, such as former Sabres Michael Peca, Mike Weber, Nathan Paetsch, Tim Kennedy, and Adam Mair had the players work in very short ice with the goaltender facing away from each other. It was a challenge for the goalies, and even for the players, to keep track of things. check out the video:
We're sure this is probably a pretty standard drill for anyone who knows hockey, but we thought we'd share for those who might not or just haven't seen it before.
