Concerts have started to return to Western New York! As the days go by, more and more shows are starting to pop up on the schedules for various venues around the area.  But, when it comes to going to a show in Western New York, just what is the policy that you need to adhere to when it comes to COVI-19 protocols.

Well, it turns out that things vary quite a bit from venue to venue.  So we did some digging and tried to put as much information as we could find all here in one place.

If you are planning on going to a show soon, here is what we found when it comes to what you need to know about COVID-19 policies.

Town Ballroom: 

"Ticket holders and attendees for *ALL* Town Ballroom shows and events must provide proof of full vaccination as defined by the CDC via physical vaccination card OR New York State’s Excelsior Pass.

Unvaccinated patrons must provide proof of a negative, lab-administered COVID-19 PCR or Rapid Test administered within 48 hours of entry. Home rapid tests will not be accepted.

Children under 12 may not attend events.

For the safety of our staff: ticket holders and attendees will be required to wear masks upon entering Town Ballroom and are then strongly encouraged to be masked throughout the event."

"All guests must be fully vaccinated. People are considered fully vaccinated after their second does in a 2-dose series, such as Pfizer or Moderna Vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Children under 12 Vaccine Policy; Can enter without vaccination.  Mask must be worn at all times.

Vaccine Verification: Show one of the following at entry; Physical vaccination Card. New York State Excelsior Pass. CLEAR digital Vaccine Card. Government-approved mobile app showing vaccination verification. Photos of vaccine cards will NOT be accepted.

COVID-19 negative test results will NOT be accepted for entry into KeyBank Center.

NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to the vaccine requirement."

Buffalo Riverworks:

"If you are fully vaccinated, then you are no longer required to wear a facemask on these premises.

If you are not fully vaccinated, then we respectfully request that you continue to wear a face mask while on-site as a participant or guest.

Riverworks will continue to follow all CDC, Local Municipality & NY State guidelines - although NOT mandatory for vaccinated guests, we highly recommend all indoor guests wear a mask prior to entering our facility.  At this time it is not required to be vaccinated or show proof of a negative test to enter our facility for any event (Unless it is mandated by a promoter or agency who has rented the entire facility for a PRIVATE EVENT)."

Guests are advised to practice physical distancing by standing at least six feet away from other groups of people not traveling with them while standing in lines, or moving around the property. Elevator capacities will be limited based on elevator size (generally, no more than two to four individuals at a time). Floor markers and signage are placed throughout the resort to assist with proper distancing.  Slot machines and other physical layouts have been arranged to ensure appropriate distancing.  Physical barriers (e.g., Plexiglass-type) have been installed in certain areas. "
