Everyone needs an escape from the world for a bit and let's face it, sometimes we don't feel like playing grown-up so it's nice to see and hear METV  resurrecting the phenom that was Saturday Morning Cartoons. Hanging out with friends like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Popeye, Fred, and Wilma Flinstone, Barney, and Betty Rubble can bring one back to when things were simpler...at least for a kid. I recently caught the new release of Tom & Jerry The Movie and it did not disappoint. Classic gags with a lot of nods to classic movies and characters.

But not everything from my childhood was about cartoons. No. It was also about puppets and especially The Muppets.  Sure Sesame Street when we were young but then as I grew up and in 1976 The Muppets became my choice in silly, colorful, noisy entertainment. And sure, Kermit the Frog, and Miss Piggy are the iconic faces of the franchise but for me, it was all about Fozzie Bear and now it looks like he will be in Jamestown hanging out at the National Comedy Center.

WKBW reports that there will be a new exhibition highlighting the master of the one-liners. Mr. Fozzie Bear.
