Bengals Quarterback Puts Up Billboards To Thank Buffalo Bills Fans
Five digital billboards have appeared in the Buffalo area to offer thanks to Buffalo Bills fans for their contributions to the Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation over the past few days. Those donations were made in appreciation for Dalton's role in helping the Bills break an 17-year playoff drought on Sunday.
Dalton's 49-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Boyd with 44 seconds left to play gave the Cincinnati Bengals a victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Combined with the Bills win over Miami, it allowed the Bills to earn a playoff spot for the first time since 1999.
The outpouring of appreciation from Bills fans was immediate and overwhelming. As of 5 pm on Wednesday, 11,000 Bills fans have contributed $255-thousand, with many of the contributions coming in increments of $17.00 - one dollar for each year of the Bills drought.
Those billboards started popping up on Wednesday and are scheduled to remain up for five days. Two of them are on the Kensington Expressway, two on the I-290 and one on the I-190.
