Bills Fans Not Happy This Penalty Is Taking Spotlight Away From Huge Win [TWEETS]
The Buffalo Bills had a statement game yesterday. It wasn't just another win for the Bills. It came on Sunday Night Football in convincing fashion at Arrowhead Stadium against the team fans knew they had to overcome (the Kansas City Chiefs).
The Bills beat the Chiefs, 38-20 and it was a complete effort both offensively and defensively.
The touchdown drive during the game that fans were left speechless by was the one to make it 38-20 and put away the Chiefs for good. Josh Allen led Buffalo on a 12-play 85 yard drive that was capped off with an 8-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders.
However, the officiating was a hot topic from last night's game. Questionable calls on both sides. 17 total penalties with 10 called on Buffalo. The most memorable sequence was when a holding call on center Mitch Morse canceled out a first down Allen run on third down.
The next play Allen threw an interception on a long ball to Stefon Diggs, but a roughing the passer call on Frank Clark extended the Bills drive.
Many are making it a point to say the Bills last touchdown drive came from a questionable roughing the passer call, which is obviously not making Bills fans happy about the spotlight being taken away from the win.
Ignoring the fact Mitch Morse was called for holding which wiped out a previous Bills first down. That was conveniently ignored.
Bills have a first down and it's not third and long anymore without that holding penalty, which negates the roughing the passer call.
The officiating was borderline to say the least, on both sides, but surely Bills fans have a right to question the officiating after last night's game.
The Bills 18-point win in Arrowhead speaks to just how far they've come and how good a team Sean McDermott has in 2021.
