The Buffalo Bills No Longer Leading AFC East
If you told any member of Bills Mafia or any NFL expert ahead of the season that this year the Buffalo Bills wouldn't win the AFC East, they would have given you a strange look.
While the Bills were one of several teams that experts believed could make the Super Bowl this year, Most people believed that the Bills would win the AFC East for the 6th straight year. While it could still happen, it will be a much tougher job than first thought.
Buffalo Bills Lose Lead In AFC East
I was one of the people who thought the Bills could clinch the AFC East before Thanksgiving this year. After a 4-0 start, it looked like the Bills would cruise to another AFC East title this season. How things have changed in the past two weeks.
The New England Patriots shocked the Bills, beating them at Highmark Stadium last Sunday and then the Bills lost to Atlanta on Monday night to drop their record to 4-2 on the year.
The Patriots have now won 3 straight games, including the win over Buffalo, and are now 4-2 on the season as well. Since the Patriots beat the Bills, New England holds the tie-breaker and is currently in 1st place in the AFC East.
Could The Bills Be Winless In October
The Buffalo Bills are on a two-week losing streak and have one more game this month. The Bills have a bye week this week before wrapping up the month of October with a road game in Carolina against the Panthers. If the Bills lose that game, they will be 0-3 in the month of October.
