In a period of 48 hours the Buffalo Bills dismissed one key assistant coach and hired another.  Offensive coordinator Rick Dennison was dismissed on Friday after just one season and on Sunday the Bills announced the hiring of Brian Daboll to replace him.

Daboll comes to the Bills after serving as the offensive coordinator of the college football national champion Alabama Crimson Tide.  Under Daboll's direction the Tide's offense scored in 49 consecutive quarters during the 2017 season.  That's the longest streak in the NCAA since 2005.

Daboll also has 17 seasons of experience in the NFL, 10 of them with the New England Patriots in a number of different roles.  He also served as the offensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns (2009-2010), Miami Dolphins (2011) and Kansas City Chiefs (2012).

Daboll and Bills head coach Sean McDermott first met when McDermott was a player at William and Mary College in 1997 and Daboll was a volunteer assistant.
