According to the Buffalo News the Buffalo Bills have filed a lawsuit in State Supreme Court alleging that Benrus Clocks has failed to pay nearly $1-million in a sponsorship deal.  The sponsorship signed in 2014 included the installation of two large clocks with the Benrus name on both sides of the 300 level at New Era Field.

The Bills allege Benrus has made only payment of $87,500 over the term of the agreement which ended on December 1st, 2017.  The Bills say they're still owed $987,500, plus late fees, interest and attorney fees.

In addition to the two clocks, the agreement also called for other promotions at the stadium and on game days as well as Benrus being named "the official timepiece of the Buffalo Bills."  Benrus received ads in game day programs and on the team website, plus hospitality passes and four season tickets.

At the time of the agreement Benrus opened a retail store in Rochester, which has since closed.  Another store planned in Buffalo never happened.
