Benoit Pouliot scored his 8th goal of the season, Kyle Okposo scored his 6th and Evander Kane added to his team lead with his 14th goal for a 3-0 lead that turned out to be just enough.  The Sabres held on to beat the Ottawa Senators 3-2 at KeyBank Center on Tuesday night.

Ottawa scored twice in the third period.  The second goal came when they pulled their goaltender and beat Robin Lehner with 52 seconds left.  The Sabres prevented the Senators from putting another shot on Lehner the rest of the way.

The Sabres victory was their fourth straight against Ottawa.  Robin Lehner stopped 24 shots to improve to 5-0-2 against his former team.

An interesting stat; the Sabres are 6-0-1 when Benoit Pouliot scores a goal.

The Sabres play at Philadelphia on Thursday then are back home Friday to host Carolina.
