5 Dangerous Roads Motorcycles Should Avoid in Western New York

This is one of the worst roads, if not the worst road, to ride a motorcycle on in Western New York. Now, there are several roads in Western New York that are atrocious to ride a motorcycle on, let alone ride a car on. These roads are busy, with multiple lanes, and people drive like sheer maniacs on them. So, when you scroll down and see the list of 5 Dangerous Roads Motorcycles Should Avoid in Western New York, you won't be surprised by most or all of them. But you may be surprised by the worst road to ride on.

For this list, I'm thinking of general daily commuting and driving. There is no doubt some dangerous roads to ride on in the rural areas of Western New York, including the South and North towns. After all, out in the country, you have winding roads and close calls with things like deer that you have to be aware of. But the roads on this list are definitely more about the immediate suburbs around Buffalo on streets that get particularly busy for most of, if not the entire, day.

On these roads, it's so easy to end up in someone's blind spot, have someone pull out in front of you, get rear-ended because someone's not paying attention while on their cell phone, and all sorts of terrible things. Also, on these roads, speeds are significantly lower than on highways. Believe it or not, it's much more dangerous and more common for motorcycles to get in an accident at lower speeds than at higher speeds, making all five of these roads particularly dangerous.

This was my first year riding a motorcycle, a Honda Rebel 500 from Hamburg Honda, which I highly recommend you check out. I've ridden on all of these and can without a doubt say they are incredibly dangerous to ride on. Does that mean I won't ride on them? No, of course I will ride on them. Living in Kenmore, for some of these, I don't have much of a choice if I want to get somewhere else. But I've had some close calls on these roads, and no doubt other motorcyclists have, too.
