[PICS] Disturbed Rocks Buffalo
Disturbed brought their 25th Anniversary of "The Sickness" tour to Buffalo and did not disappoint.
The tour celebrated the album that made Disturbed famous. The Sickness was something very different when it came out. David Draiman brought a unique and powerful vocal style to a dark, heavy nu-metal sound that instantly made the band a hit. 25 years later (gulp) it still resonates. Here are some observations and notes from the show.
Disturbed
The show opened with Draiman coming out Hanibal Lector Style, facemask and all, and the band started to play The Sickness in order, beginning with "Voices." The crowd was instantly into it, with people screaming and singing along to every word. They played the entire album in order, straight through, and then went on to play nine more of their greatest hits, including "Ten Thousand Fists," "Bad Man," "Land of Confusion," and "The Sound of Silence." They finished the night with "Inside The Fire." It was an excellent set. One that every die-hard disturbed fan, and casual one, loved.
Daughtry
Daughrty brought a new attitude and sound that was incredible to see live. He went heavier with his sound, and it paid off. In all, he played 11 songs, beginning with "The Reckoning" and closing with "Artificial." He also did his heavy cover of "Separate Ways" by Journey and played his two older hits, "It's Not Over," and an acoustic version of "Home." He was awesome and a must-see whenever he comes near WNY.
Nothing More
The band continues to climb the ranks and proves why once again with an energetic and unique set. It was seven songs long, including their two big hits "Jenny" and "This is the Time." Nothing More has a lot of momentum building, and they were here not too long ago to a good crowd at Riverworks. It would not be surprising to see them headline a show at KeyBank Center in the near future.
