Bills Mafia Stepping up for Now Former Bill’s Charity

The Buffalo Bills had to say goodbye to a fan favorite on day one of the legal tampering periods for NFL free agency.  And in City of Good Neighbors fashion, the Bills Mafia is stepping up to give him a proper send-off.

As free agency kicked off yesterday, the Minnesota Vikings reportedly agreed to a deal with former Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Harrison Phillips, signing him to a three-year deal worth $19.5 million, according to NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo.

The Bills selected Phillips in the third round (96th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft, and he spent the last four seasons in Buffalo, appearing in 45 games and starting in 11 of them. Harrison became a valuable piece to the defensive line rotation during his time in Buffalo, and his fans are now stepping up to give him a proper goodbye.

Phillips is a big supporter of The Playmakers.  A charitable foundation that was founded in 2009 by former NFL player Greg Roeszler.  They host three  3 Summer Football Camps across the United States each year, at zero cost to the athletes and their families. Thus far, they have impacted the lives of over 2,000 students.

Harrison Phillips has been involved with the non-profit organization, The Playmakers, during his time here in Buffalo.  Phillips put on three free youth camps for kids at-risk and kids that are mentally challenged. His first was in Buffalo, second in Sacramento, and this last one in Omaha.
