Due to COVID-19, many non-profits in Western New York didn't have a chance to hold their usual fundraisers in 2020 and so far in 2021.

Of course, that doesn't mean they still don't need that money to carry out their commitment to helping out the community.

Many non-profits have found other virtual ways to help raise money, and that includes the Angola Volunteer Fire Department, which is hosting an online raffle this month to help raise funds for the department.

WHO ARE THE ANGOLA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT:

Their mission statement on their website says it all.

To provide the best life saving services, be it Fire, EMS, Rescue or fire prevention to our community of the Village of Angola, our service area outside the Village in the Town of Evans, and wherever we may be called for assistance. As our motto says, Anywhere, Any place, Any TIME!

They are made up of 100% of volunteers who operate 2 engines and 1 ladder truck. A rescue EMS ambulance, ATV unit, and Child passenger safety unit.

They are lead by Fire Chief Charles Klepfer and have 46 volunteer firefighters and 38 non-firefighting volunteers.

HOW CAN I GET TICKETS TO THEIR RAFFLE:

Tickets for the online raffle can be purchased online HERE. Each ticket costs $5 and will get you in the running for one of three prizes. All tickets must be purchased by May 26th at 6 pm.

WHAT ARE THE PRIZES IF I WIN:

1st place prize is a Lifetime Charger sit-in Kayak with a paddle

2nd place prize is a charcoal grill and outdoor set that includes two zero gravity chairs with table and cup holder set

3rd place prize is a cooler and a $200 gift card to Wal-Mart.

WHEN IS THE DRAWING AND WHEN WILL I KNOW I WON:

The drawing for the prizes will be held on Wednesday, May 26th and all winners will be notified by the Fire Department that evening.
