Funny Jack Eichel Trade Tweet you Need to See
The Jack Eichel trade is the internet gift that keeps on giving. OK, we know that it's been a minute since Jack Eichel was shipped out of Buffalo. But while we did our daily scroll of social media, we came across what may be the funniest reaction to the trade yet.
As we all know by now, The Buffalo Sabres traded forward Jack Eichel and a conditional 2023 third-round pick to the Vegas Golden Knights on November 4th of last year. In return, the Sabres landed a package of Forward Alex Tuch, Left Wing Peyton Krebs, a first-round pick in 2022, and a conditional second-round draft pick for 2023.
Ever since Eichel was selected 2nd overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, there was tremendous pressure on him to be the one to lead the Sabres out of the dark times, and back into the NHL playoffs. After 6 seasons, and not a playoff game in sight, Eichel grew more and more frustrated with the team, its management, and the city of Buffalo.
Once he finally was dealt out of town, fans couldn't wait for him to return so they could take out their frustrations on him. Boos rained down from the rafters when the one-time saviour finally took the ice in Buffalo in a Vegas uniform, and then Eichel famously went on his post-game locker room tantrum dissing the Sabres fan base.
Back to our original point. Twitter user Brandon Becker, posted the following account of the night of Eichel's trade to Las Vegas.
A brilliant recap of the fleecing of the Las Vegas Golden Knights, done by current Sabres General Manager Kevyn Adams.
