A local teenager needs your support after a serious accident. Here's how you can help.

Spring is arriving in Western New York, which means more and more people will be out and about. When the weather breaks and the snow melts, people tend to loosen up a bit, including on the roads. Accidents Can happen and, sometimes, with devastating results.

For this Lancaster, New York Teen, a simple and routine act while driving has seriously injured him.

According to News 4 Buffalo, Lincoln Counihan, an 18-year-old senior at Lancaster High School, was seriously injured in a car accident on Sunday. He was struck on the driver's side of the car he was operating while pulling out of his parents’ driveway at around 5:30 pm. He survived, but was seriously injured.

Counihan was taken to ECMC where doctors began working on his extensive injuries. He suffered a shattered pelvis, broken ankle, knee and cheekbone, along with bruised lungs and internal bleeding, some of which required surgery. - News 4 Buffalo

A 45-year-old man was allegedly driving a vehicle that hit Lincoln. To be clear, we don't know who is at fault or why the accident happened. All we know is that an 18-year-old was seriously injured doing a routine driving maneuver. We're not here to pass blame, we're here to help.

Lincoln is a student athlete who is supposed to be getting ready for things like prom and graduation. With healthcare the way it is in our country, Lincoln could use all the help he can get. The good news is you can help him right now.
