For the last couple of years, Buffalo has had good reason to have a secondary interest in the Cincinnati Bengals.  Now, they've got another reason.

You may remember just a couple of years ago, the Bills were facing a 17-year drought from the playoffs.  It felt like a lifetime (and for some people it was just that) since we had played a playoff game.  That is, until the Cincinnati Bengals threw a last minute pass that ended up as a touchdown that handed the Baltimore Ravens a loss and effectively ended the drought for the Bills.

The Bills Mafia responded with donations to Andy Dalton's foundation (the quarterback at the time of the Bengals who threw the pass) and immediately there was a bond between Bills fans and Bengals fans.

This year, the Bills lost to The Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs.  But it was the Bengals who dethroned Chiefs Kingdom by beating them in the AFC Championship game in overtime.  Now, they're headed to the Super Bowl.

As much as we'd love to see the Bills in their place, the Bills had their chance and lost it.  So if you're looking for a team to root for this year, maybe it's the Bengals.

As always...there's a Western New York connection.

The Bengals have a Western New Yorker on their team.  Medina's own Mason' Schreck is a tight end there.  He's a former UB Bull that was drafted to the Bengals in the 7th round of the 2017 NFL Draft.  He's a tight end but plays a lot of special teams for them as well!

As always we want to cheer for the Bills...but if they're not an option, here's another reason why you might want to cheer for the Bengals!
