New Bills Player Said He Signed With Buffalo to Win a Super Bowl
Being a 30-year-old Bills fan, there really wasn't a lot to celebrate with the team for nearly 20 years. My first football memory was the Music City Miracle (Homerun Throwback), and it was pretty desolate for 17 years.
The last two seasons have been great though and 2020 was the year all Bills fans have been waiting for since the '90s. The team went 13-3, won the AFC East division title for the first time since 1995, and made the AFC Championship game for the first time since they went to their fourth-straight Super Bowl in 1993.
The Bills enter 2021 as one of the favorites to win it all and that's exactly what drew star wide receiver, Emmanuel Sanders, to Buffalo.
According to Bills Wire of USA Today, Sanders spoke to the team during their recent mandatory minicamp and said that he went to the Super Bowl his first year in the NFL and has been chasing it ever since, which is a big reason why he signed with the Bills.
The Bill franchise quarterback told the story of Sanders' message to the team and Allen's the biggest reason why the Bills are legitimate Super Bowl contenders.
The team also brought back most of its starters from the year before, including resigning linebacker Matt Milano, which is a huge deal for the defense, as he's one of the best coverage linebackers in the league.
It's great to see players actually want to play in Buffalo because the team is a Super Bowl contender. I'm just not used to it. I will definitely soak up every second of it, though.
Go Bills!
