The NFL off-season is long, it’s too long. However, the most fun portion of the off-season has begun and it will only get crazier.

The official start of the NFL unrestricted free agency period begins next Wednesday afternoon, March 16th.

The Buffalo Bills made a pretty important move on Tuesday, March 8th, releasing linebacker A.J. Klein. It’s a move that saves over $5 million against the salary cap in 2022.

The move helps the Bills try and get under the salary cap and hopefully, one step into allowing them to making their own trades or free agent signings.

The Bills are still a contender in the AFC, even the favorite to win the Super Bowl to some.

But the Bills are in the AFC Conference, which is loaded with top-tier quarterbacks. The conference added yet another elite quarterback.

In a gigantic trade, the Seattle Seahawks traded franchise quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos along with a 4th round pick, in exchange for quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, two 1st round picks, two 2nd round picks and a 5th round pick.

Wilson has been rumored to be willing to be dealt from Seattle for a while now, even since last off-season and while Washington was a heavily rumored team who offered the Seahawks trade offers, Wilson in the end goes to Denver, who has a loaded roster who was only missing a top-tier quarterback.

The AFC now has Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson and Derek Carr. Three of them in the same Division (AFC West).

The Bills will have a tough playoff road once again in January of 2023.
