Snow is in the forecast for Western New York. We're expected to get a notable amount of dreaded Lake Effect snow on Sunday, which could result in several inches accumulating. The South Towns, in particular, are expected to receive the most snow, as is usual in our region.

The thing is, this really isn't surprising or a big deal for people in and around Buffalo. It's November. This is what happens every year. That's not to say it can't get bad, as we've had our share of blizzards and violent storms early in the season before. It's just that most people are used to this and are prepared.

Some people aren't, though. In fact, it's always surprising how many people who have lived their entire life here aren't ready for the snow when it does arrive. I'm talking about people who don't have a winter coat, let alone other things. How does this happen? Well, regardless of how or why, it does, and I'm here to help.
