The Buffalo Bills Release Five Players On Tuesday
The Buffalo Bills' final preseason game is this Saturday at 1 pm against the Green Bay Packers at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. The final open practice of camp will be next Wednesday as well.
The Bills don't have to cut the roster down to 53 players until August 31st, but the team did release five players on Tuesday morning.
Those players are linebacker Tyrell Adams, offensive lineman Tyler Gauthier, tight end Bug Howard, wide receiver Lance Lenoir, and safety Tariq Thompson.
Lenoir is a former Dallas Cowboys receiver, who was hoping to make the Bills roster as a depth man, but the numbers game proved too difficult.
The top five receivers for the Bills are pretty much decided upon.
- Stefon Diggs
- Cole Beasley
- Emmanuel Sanders
- Gabriel Davis
- Isaiah McKenzie
Jake Kumerow has had an outstanding camp so far, so many are speculating he makes the final 53-man roster. If that's the case, that's six, and most teams only keep that many.
However, the Bills pass the ball so much that keeping seven on the roster might happen. Isaiah Hodgins, Tanner Gentry, and Marquez Stevenson are vying for spots and chances are at least one of them lands on the practice squad.
Wide receiver Duke Williams was waived/injured on Monday after spending the better part of two seasons with the Bills.
Tanner Gentry was Allen's college teammate at Wyoming.
