Great Places To Buy Mums In The Southtowns

The fall is here! It could be the best time of the year for those of us who love cooler temperatures but still enjoy great weather during the day.

With the humidity gone, and the leaves starting to change colors, it is the perfect time of the year to get some things done outside and for decorating around the house.

From pumpkins to corn stalks and mums, there are so many great things to include on your front porch to welcome those who visit. But if it’s mums that you want, there are a few great places in the Hamburg and Southtowns area that seem to be the favorite of those on the Next-Door app.

Mums are the perfect flower because they look great and they last a long time even after the first frost here in Western New York. We buy mums every fall and always intend to plant them so they can return the next year but somehow that never seems to happen. Before we know it they are covered in snow and I’m trying to make sure I don’t push the shovel or snowblower through them on the sidewalk out front of our house.

The forecast is calling for some cooler temperatures this week and lots of sunshine and the perfect opportunity to get those flowers and decorations going out front of your home.

It won’t be long before the kids are getting their costumes on and trick-or-treating will happen. Now is the time to enjoy the Halloween season as October will be here this Friday.

Make sure you get your mums quickly before they sell out. I have a feeling there will be a rush on flowers this week as everyone wants to get things done before the weekend and the next Bills home game.
