If Buffalo Potholes Could Talk…
If only the Buffalo potholes could talk, maybe they would actually get fixed in a timely manner. Or better yet, what if they could tweet?
We all know that one pothole -- the one on the way to work that you swerve, curve and hope that your car does not hit. And no matter how many times that pothole has been complained about, it just sits and waits to rain on your parade.
One news station in Panama came up with a new approach to contacting the city about its potholes, and it has been a huge success. They call it The Tweeting Pothole:
Small devices were placed inside of Panama's worst potholes and would be triggered to send a tweet to the city's Department of Public Works every time a car drove over them. Tweets would entail the location of the pothole, and an unsatisfied message from the pothole itself.
With the amount of traffic the potholes were creating, it did not take long for the Department of Public Works to start addressing these hazards.
If Buffalo had self-Tweeting potholes, we think they would send out messages complaining about all the cars listening to only Jack FM...
