There is another restaurant looking to open up its doors, this time on the Elmwood Strip. The Elmwood Village is having a resurgence with so many newly renovated places opening up. From housing to dining this is the best it has been for the Elmwood area in a long time.

If you ever wanted to decorate your dorm room, apartment or home chances are you visited Poster Art at 1055 Elmwood Avenue. Well, now it looks like the vacant storefront will be going from selling things you hang to heroes you can eat.

WGRZ reports that a new New York Style deli will be breaking ground...and bread around the summer of 2021. Welcome Zio's Deli (*Read to the end of this for another cool story from Zio's Deli). The store will be owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Anne Doyle and Ben Tronolone with Ben's brother Mike. And yes, they will be serving up heroes (also debated are the names hoagies, subs, and bombers),

This is very encouraging seeing that the franchise Jimmy John's, a few blocks away, closed after only being open for less than a year (Charlie The Butcher now is in that location). Also, Hero's Burgers on Elmwood and Bidwell soon closed after Jimmy John's.

Remember the Old Casa Di Pizza location, which is on the corner of Elmwood and Hodge? It closed after 62 years and since then it lay dormant until recently. You can see construction crews on-site and it looks like new living quarters will be up soon.

Whether it be living quarters or places to wine and dine, it looks like the Elmwood Strip is looking to get back to its glory days. And that is always a great thing to experience.

*So I mentioned that Zio's Deli will be taking over the old Poster Art location? Well, CLICK HERE to see what they discovered while renovating the establishment.
