Having lived in Hamburg for a few years, I know just how great the food is in the southtowns. I loved every minute of it. One of the most beloved restaurants in the southtowns of Western New York will be moving up to the Village of Kenmore.

According to Buffalo Rising, the Blasdell favorite Black Iron Bystro will be moving to the Village of Kenmore.

Black Iron Bystro has spent the past seven years in Blasdell but will now be moving to Kenmore and it's due to chef/owner Bryan Mecozzi residing in Tonawanda and the fact it will be much easier on him and his customers, who usually commute from the City of Buffalo.

The new location will be a bit smaller than the Blasdell one, but will still be an open-space concept that should be familiar to regular customers.

The new location will be at the old Desalvo’s Meats & Eats at the corner of Delaware and Allegany Avenue.

Kenmore is probably the one suburb of Buffalo I've spent the least amount of time in, but it's got a great food scene, and this is one of the best Blasdell spots heading to Kenmore; so I'm betting many living there will be happy.

It's one of the first things I tell people when they visit Western New York -- just the difference between the northtowns and southtowns. One thing's for sure, however, both have a great restaurant scene.
