After two entertaining games in Las Vegas the Stanley Cup final series between the Knights and Washington Capitals is tied at a game apiece after the Capitals held on for a 3-2 victory Wednesday night.  The save of the game, perhaps the playoffs came with two minutes to play and Knights' forward Alex Tuch had a wide open net, but Caps goaltender Braden Holtby somehow got his goal stick on the shot to prevent the tying goal.

As they usually do at home the Knights scored the game opening goal, but the Caps tied it late in the first period, then scored twice in the second period to take a 3-1 lead.  The Knights scored a power play goal to come within a goal before the second intermission but couldn't get the equalizer.

Center Lars Eller was in on all three Capitals goals, scoring the first one and assisting on the other two.  Holtby finished with 37 saves as the Caps won in the Stanley Cup finals for the first time in team history.

So now the home advantage swings over to the Caps as they host Games 3 and 4 Saturday and next Monday.
