By Monday morning, we will know exactly who the Buffalo Bills will be playing in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs.

The AFC playoff picture has yet to have any matchup decided and no teams have clinched a specific seed, either. The Bills are currently in the 4 seed and have a shot at moving up to the 2 or 3 seed, although they would have to win and have both the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals lose in order for that to happen. They have no shot at the 1 seed.

As of today, the likeliest opponent for the Bills are the New England Patriots at 34 percent, followed by the Indianapolis Colts and Las Vegas Raiders at 27 percent. They have a slim shot at playing the Chargers or Chiefs.

The way the Bills have put things together, many teams they could face probably don't "scare" many Buffalo fans, but the one team that a lot of Bills fans want no part of is a team that gave the Bills their only blowout loss of 2021.

The Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts played the Bills at Highmark Stadium the Sunday before Thanksgiving and to say it didn't go well, would be an understatement.

The Bills lost 41-15 and their run defense was the biggest problem. They allowed 185 rushing yards to Jonathan Taylor, and over 260 yards of total rushing yards to the Colts.

The Colts defense gave the Bills trouble as well, as Josh Allen only threw for 209 yards and two interceptions, although he did throw for two touchdown passes in that game.

The Colts are predicated on running the ball with Taylor and a stout defense. If there's any team that is specifically built to beat teams like the Bills and Chiefs, it's the Colts.

The Bills are a different team now, then they were in November. Many of those points and rushing yards came in the second half, when things appeared out of reach. The Bills run defense has played much better, although it's still by far the weakest part of their defense, as their passing D is the best in the entire NFL.

If it's my choice, I would most want to play the Raiders, followed by the Patriots and clearly last would be the Colts. I do think the Bills can beat Indy, but that's definitely not the opponent I would want the Bills to play.

The Raiders are an enigma. They play horribly sometimes and then there are games their offense steps up and they outplay a team many perceive as better. I do think the Bills and Brian Daboll's passing attack can exploit their pass D.

The Patriots are built similarly to Indy, but they don't have a Jonathan Taylor and Carson Wentz has more experience than Mac Jones. New England struggles mightily playing from behind.

We'll see how things shake out. The Bills will have their hands full if it is indeed the Colts.
