It won't be long now until the 2021 NFL regular season kicks off. The first regular season game will be played on Thursday, September 9th between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while the Buffalo Bills' season opener will be played on Sunday, September 12th at Highmark Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The NFL Top 100 is happening right now, however, which is usually revealed just before the season begins.

For those unfamiliar, the NFL Network countdowns the top 100 players in the NFL, as voted upon by players.

On Sunday, the players from 39-11 were revealed and Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs came in at number 11, which is a huge honor. Diggs was named number 54 in 2020.

The other big story is that Josh Allen has not been revealed yet, which means he has made the top 10 in 2021!

Will Allen be number one in 2021?

Maybe? Chances are that Patrick Mahomes and/or Aaron Rodgers will be named ahead of Allen, but considering that Allen came in at number 87 last year, means that the NFL took notice of the incredible year that Allen had.

Over 4500 passing yards and 46 total touchdowns in a season that saw him be runner-up in NFL MVP voting, behind Rodgers.

My hope is that Allen at least finishes in the top 5. He's one of the favorites to be named MVP this season and the Bills are legitimate Super Bowl contenders going into a season for the first time in nearly 30 years.

The top 10 of the NFL Top 100 will be revealed next Sunday, August 29th.
