Now, we take a look at the free agency market for another position of need for the Bills.  Wide Receiver.  The Bills could potentially lose both Emanuel Sanders and Isaiah McKenzie to free agency.  Plus the team has granted slot WR Cole Beasly to seak a trade, with the possibility that he could also become a salary-cap cut casualty.  This would leave the team thin at WR with Diggs and playoff standout Gabriel Davis as the unit's only proven players.

There are rumors that the Bills may be targeting a WR with their first-round pick in the upcoming NFL draft, but even so, dipping into the free-agent pool may be a possibility.

Here's a look at 5 names that the Bills could pursue.

Allen Robinson - The Big Fish in the free agent WR pond.  Robinson is coming off a season where he was franchised by the Bears and put up a disappointing 38 catch/410 yard/1 TD season while only playing in 12 games.  He has been in the league for 8 years, after being drafted by Jacksonville in the 2nd round of the 2014 NFL draft.  His career numbers are solid, catching 495 passes, for 6495 yards, and 40 TDs.  At 6'2" he would add another strong red-zone threat to go along with Dawson Knox.  The problem?  He will likely be one of the highest-paid free agents this offseason.

Will Fuller -Fuller has shown blow the roof off potential at times during his 6 year NFL career but has never quite achieved the lofty status thrust upon him when the Houston Texans selected him 21st overall in the 2016 NFL draft out of Notre Dame.  Often injured, Fuller has only played in 55 out of a possible 97 games in his career, however, his 16 game production average comes out to 63 catches/922 yards/7 TDs.  So the talent is there.  The question is, can he stay healthy?  This could be a low-risk/high reward option.

Jamison Crowder -A smallish receiver at 5'9", crowder has stood tall in his 7 years in the NFL.  Originally a 4th round draft pick by the Washington Redskins, Crowder signed a three-year contract with the New York Jets prior to the 2019 season.  He has caught 409 balls, for 4,607 yards, and 28 TDs in his career, good for an average season stat line of 58 catches/658 yards/4 TDs.  Solid production for a #2 Wide Reciever in the Buffalo offense.

Christian Kirk - Kirk had his breakout season in 2021, becoming the Cardinals' top target, with Deandre Hopkins on the shelf for most of the year.  Kirk posted career highs with 77 catches, for 982 yards and 5 TDs.  With a body top similar to Stefon Diggs (Kirk stands 5-11/200lbs) would it be too much of the same thing?  In this day and age of the NFL, does it even matter?  Kirk has quietly amassed over 200 catches for over 2900 yards, and 17 TDs since being selected in the second round in 2018.

Allen Lazard - The 26-year-old out of Iowa State had his best year as a pro for Green Bay in 2021.  An under-the-radar choice, as Devonte Adams is getting all the much-deserved hype for the Packers, Lazard quietly put together a solid season as Green Bay's #3 receiver hauling in 40 catches for 513 yards and becoming a reliable red-zone target with 8 TDs.  Ne's not the splashy big name, but at 6'5" would be an intriguing option to pair opposite Stefon Diggs.
