Buffalo is such an amazing place to live!  There are so many fun events around Western New York for the family to experience that there should be no reason to be sitting at home playing video games!

First of all if you haven’t checked out the Buffalo Zoo in a long time then now is a great time to go!  Not only do they have the cutest (and I mean CUTEST) baby polar bear but they have done all these updates that really make your experience one you’ll never forget.  There’s the Rainforest Falls there now, which is one of my favorite things to do there, they have all of these amazing animals that you can see while you venture thru the rainforest.  You have the chance to get up close to animals like the vampire bats, anacondas, anteaters and more.  My favorite part is the giant waterfall that you can walk in front while check out the alligators!  Then of course you can’t go without checking out the new 19th century farm that was added.  This homestead will feature a petting area with animals you would see back then.  Definitely make time this summer for the Buffalo Zoo.

Then this is always the Buffalo Museum of Science for you to check out!  Happening next Saturday they have this event called Bubblefest!  Even if you don’t have children this is the one event at the Museum that you should check out.  Get ready to be bubbled out!  The museum will expand out to the Martin Luther King Jr. Park with tents full of bubble activities.  You’ll have the chance to play at the Kiddy Car Wash to bubbles so big you can stand in them!  There will also be quite a few activities inside as well like bubble crafts, a bubble performance and more!  Bubblefest is next Saturday from 10a to 4p.  Oh and one more thing about the Science Museum that I just learned.  That amazing exhibit called body worlds is back at the museum starting May 30th.  This one is called Body World’s Vital and it tells the story about how to best fight, manage and prevent life threatening diseases through healthy choices and lifestyle.

Another great time is heading out with the whole family or friends to check out a Bison’s game.  This year the Bison’s are doing awesome too!  Looking at the schedule I think I only saw 2 losses and all the rest wins.  Besides you can always get a hot pretzel there anyways so how much better can it get!  The Bison’s have games all this week.  Tomorrow they take on the Louisville Bats for a 1:05p game at Coca Cola Field.  Tomorrow is even cooler because after the game if you have kids make sure you stick around because they will have the chance to run around the bases.  That’s right!  After an amazing baseball game you can head down to the field and hang out for the post game Kids Run the Bases.  Then on Monday the Bison’s have another game against the Norfolk Tides at 7:05p.  This one is going to be awesome because it’s a Grand Slam Inning.  If the Bison’s hit a Grand Slam during the Bottom of the 7th inning one lucky fan might win some cash!

Finally an awesome place to check out with the family is the Burchfield Nature and Art Center in West Seneca.  We went over there today and had a blast!  I never knew how beautiful it was back in there.  There’s a few hiking trails that you can venture thru or even stop down at the river and stick your toes in.  It was so much fun.  Then head back for the giant playground that they have for the kids to play on.  Tomorrow they even have a Spring Fest for the family.  There will be music, hot dogs, demonstrations, live music and more from noon to 4p.

See!  No Reason to stay indoors this weekend!  Have Fun!
